Hey trubeautys!

We ALL have things we want to change, adjust, wish we were further along with etc etc etc. No matter how successful someone is, there is always the “next thing”… the next goal, the next intention, the next item on the to-do list to cross off, but I can’t help but wonder how much of these time-suckers are actually contributing to the bottom line of what matters most—our fulfillment?

I’ve always been an ambitious one with big goals for myself personally and professionally (I think I’m harder on myself than any boss or other person could be, because I know what I’m capable of)! I think this is why I’ve always been so drawn to yoga! In addition to the fitness benefits on a physical level, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally yoga truly does bring me back to the present moment and allows me to notice the little things that often make the biggest difference on my path, if I’d just slow down and pay attention. So I’m throwing caution to the wind and choosing to be more spontaneous in my life and I want to inspire you to do the same (whether it’s in one area of your life or all areas)! I’m consciously practicing presence. From spending quality time with my husband, daughter, and good friends, to taking the time to dig even deeper on what it is I truly want out of this life, my career, and this beautiful platform I’ve created with you all. I even feel like I’m being more present in my social media posting as a result and I’ve already noticed a positive difference!

While it can sometimes be a bit scary, I’m allowing myself to dance more with the present moment and not feel the need to have it all planned out, figured out, and just let my CURIOSITY and passion guide me. While I’m a firm believer in planning and know there IS a time a place for planning ahead in order to see goals through and make things happen in your life, the magic happens right now. As always, it comes back to balance: planning ahead so that there is a scheduled structure to see things through and make long term progress, while LIVING in the present moment. A concept that is so easy to say and harder to actually do, otherwise we’d all be masters of mindfulness!

My message to you today trubeautys… stop with being so hard on yourselves and always onto the next thing. Really let yourself be in this moment and TAKE THE TIME to enjoy your unique path and abilities to see where it leads. There is something special for you to discover right now and it’s important to remove the clutter and people/places/things/situations that drain your time and energy and instead put your phone on “Do Not Disturb” and INSIST with confidence (not apology) that you are worth it!

Think of what you have been putting off that you’ve been wanting to do for yourself (self care, steps toward a goal, a workout class or yoga class you’ve been wanting to take, finally creating your vision board, or anything that allows you to uplevel). Personally, I have 2 big trainings I’ve been putting off for months in my life (that I already paid for ?). One is to uplevel in my career and one is for my personal growth. I kept saying, “I don’t have time,” which is the worst mantra by the way, because it only reiterates that as your truth. Correction, I have an abundance of time, it’s just a matter of me prioritizing where my time is going, carving out the time to do it consistently, then being present to get it done in a way that feels fulfilling!

So, how do we accomplish this fine balance of presence verses planning? My advice is to still plan ahead by schedule blocking, or carving out time in your busy schedule, that allows you to focus on accomplish your goal; otherwise without any planning, you’ll be SO in the moment that the hours, days, months, and years will slip by without actually seeing progress on goals that are meaningful to you and your sense of self! Then, once you have that time blocked out, surrender and give yourself the gift of that moment by taking the time for what you need without allowing any distractions from others in order for you to feel fulfilled. This not only creates healthy boundaries from others, but will give you a sense of progress, which leads to confidence and ultimately fulfillment on your path! No one is going to prioritize and schedule the things that fulfill you—it must be you—so value yourself and your time enough to do it! Before we transition into fall and the busy holiday season, now is the perfect time! Stop putting off what matters most and jump in. I sincerely hope this post speaks to those who are supposed to hear it today. I am so grateful for you and that of all the feeds out there mine is one that you value, prioritize and hopefully inspires you to uplevel and go after the life you want {and deserve}! Thank you for your support on my own path of self discovery!

Until next time—be balanced, be tru, & proud to be YOU! xo Heath
