Featured in today’s post is one of my #weightloss secrets revealed! …SOUP! Soup is the best, because it takes up volume in your stomach keeping you full – and fulfilled – longer! Another bonus: when you’re a busy mom like me with baby in hand, I’ve been tossing it in a coffee mug as you see featured here for an easy yet #nutritiousanddelicious “meal on the go!” This allows me to still be able to work, do stuff around the house, plus truck along our little one in our @babybjorn baby carrier – all while ensuring I’m taking care of my own nutritional needs keeping me energized for anything that comes my way (like poop flying across the room mid change… Yes this happened to me yesterday lol)! ?

In addition to having physical volume in your stomach, soups are often low in calories, loaded with veggies, fiber, vitamins and even some protein. Just be sure to check the nutrition label on the back, since marketing can be deceiving! My current obsession?! Organic @imaginesoups #butternutsquash #soup …at only 100 calories per serving (um who just eats one serving?! ??), low fat, low sodium, high in fiber plus it’s a serving of veggies – you can be sure this cozy treat will instantly relax your #mind #body #spirit especially this time of year!

To make mine a little more #gormet and up the nutritional value I often add thyme, fresh ground black pepper and a dash of cinnamon (which boosts the #metabolism ), stir and call it a day! If I’m making it a meal, I’ll add some kind of protein, like lean boneless, skinless chicken breast, plus a side of whole grain pitta bread fresh out of the oven to dip in. These additions add #healthy #calories to sustain you longer, so you’re not starving in two seconds lol. Hope this tip inspires your own wellness goals this fall or any season for that matter.
