Eagle Posture is considered an intermediate to advanced yoga posture; however, that does not mean that beginners cannot practice this empowering posture.  Eagle pose encourages one to look at their life from a “bird’s eye view” and take a step back to reflect on the big picture and re-asses their path.  It allows one the chance to “untangle” themselves from burdens, obligations, or toxicity in their life and release anything holding them back.  When Eagle Pose is added to one’s practice in a consistent way, the yogi will notice an increase in mental focus.  As the yogi works on chakra balance and proper deep breathing in this yoga pose, they will begin to liberate their spirit and spread their wings and fly in alignment with their highest purpose—both on and off the mat in life.

Enhance Results With—Essential Oils

  • Cinnamon Essential Oil: Linked to the root (red) chakra, cinnamon oil is great for balancing the foundation to who you are, so that you can live in alignment with the highest version of yourself.  Without a strong foundation, the other chakras cannot be balanced or fulfilled, so the root chakra, located at the base of the spine, hip flexors, legs and feet, is absolutely crucial for good health and well-being.  In addition to health, the root chakra is linked to a healthy family life, abundance and “fight, flight, or freeze” mode (anxiety/depression), in addition to establishing healthy routines.  Nourish your root chakra and see your entire life thrive!

  • Peppermint Essential Oil: Linked to the Third Eye (blue) chakra, Peppermint is exceptional at activating one’s intuition, reminding the yogi of the mantra “I trust myself.”  This is fantastic for those who are looking to decrease all the clutter and options in their career or personal life—so that they can focus on what is essential in their life and make the highest impact on themselves and humanity at-large.  Utilize this oil to open-up your mind and allow yourself to dream big and consider the possibility that you can have and deserve to live the life of your dreams!  Put on Peppermint before your yoga practice (placing on the wrists, back of the neck, temples in the hairline, and on your third eye located between your brows) and allow your mind just to go there…
  • Lavender Essential Oil: Linked with the Crown (lavender) chakra, Lavender is associated with all things calm.  On a physical and mental level, this essential oil will calm and relax any tension in the mind and body; on a spiritual level it will remind you to follow your most calm and blissful state to live a life in alignment with the highest version of yourself and fulfill your dharma, or calling.
